Well, here's my Moebius reissue of the Aurora Comics scenes Wonder Woman.

Most noticable are the stars on Diana's shorts, which are far too complicated to paint with my current tools and skill set. I'm waiting on getting some Gundam Markers to help with that detail. |
Her face.... simply horrible. I figured the sculpt for it would be more smooth and statuesque. Not big cheek bones.

Some of that may be because I'm not a professional model builder...but yeah. It is a replica of a model from the 70s, so detail is passable at best. Aurora's Superboy kit wasn't much better. I'll admit I do find a charm to the simplistic designs. |

Great paint does help even bad sculpts. But yes, sculpts for model in the 60s and 70s weren't all that great. Take a look at the long narrow faced Godzilla next to her. I also have a Spock from the 60s that's pretty silly looking. |
Ok, lets just agree that all 3 models are bad sculpts. Logan looks rather bad. Well, his cowl looks bad. His costume, even in the 70's had the upturn pointed piece, that just seems to stick straight out.

That one was made by toybiz in the 90s. Thankfully I didn't pay for it. The upper part looked absolutely atrocious when attached to the hips. His hips extended past his waist. I had to use a lot of putty to try and actually make it look like a goddamn humanoid. :lol That's certainly my least favorite model. On the subject of this, while I do find charm in the old Aurora kits, I would eventually like to get something more realistic, like the Deluxe Lugosi Dracula(With victim) |
