Two Questions, one is enormously dumb:

A: Where on the East Coast is this?

B: Why are franchise conventions of such a nature only in the East Coast or the Midwest? Why not have one further South? Who decides where these things occur?

Okay, I just looked. I'll revise my questions:

Who decides where franchise conventions occur? What's so special about one state over another? I'm Louisiana, and I don't see anything like this here.
