Thank god! I'm so excited for this! It's always been one of the few Godzilla movies I had never seen before!
|
Finally!
|
Definitely going to get this.

YES!!

This leaves 1 completely unreleased Japanese Godzilla film (King Kong vs. Godzilla) and 2 that are out of print and go for painful amounts on the secondary market (Son of Godzilla and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 1974).

We do still need re-releases of Son of Godzilla and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla as well, in addition to the various other Toho monster flicks, like Frankenstein Conquers the World, Atragon, and The Mysterians. At any rate, this is awesome. I have about half of the Heisei series on blu-ray, but haven't actually watched them yet. I guess I'll just wait until this one comes out and watch the entire thing in order. |
Sweet!
I remember watching the 1985 version when I was a kid and being pleased that Raymond Burr (who I always recognized from seeing Perry Mason reruns during the afternoon with my grandfather) being brought back, since there weren't really recurring human characters in the other (Showa) films I'd seen to that point. I don't think I've watched any version of the film since then, so it'll be nice to watch the Japanese original after all this time. |
Oh my god... I must be dreaming.
Now what about Son and MG74 Kraken? |
Kraken is the same studio that gave us Gigan, Hedorah, and Ebirha, right? I wonder if the case will match those releases...
