Shin Godzilla (Godzilla Resurgence) US Release Date 10/11/2016
 

A few sources are popping up, revealing showtimes that are flagging Shin Godzilla to be hitting North America theaters on October 11th. The last Japanese Godzilla film release in theaters in the United States was Godzilla 2000 back in August 2000. Unlike Godzilla 2000, Fandango has listed it to have a limited run of 5-7 days while G2k was a major release across the country.

Sweet. I will be seeing it no matter what, but I hope my Drafthouse shows it.

I remember seeing Godzilla 2000 in theaters on opening weekend night and it was a cool experience despite being a okay movie. I can't wait to see a Japanese Godzilla movie on the big screen again.

Yeah, seeing 2000 on the day it came out was the coolest thing ever despite it being dubbed (granted, Sony's cut is the superior version to the film). Now I've seen the original movie subbed, War of the Gargatuas, and Invasion of Astro-Monster on the big screen. Thursday I will be seeing Mothra. Sure, it's Rifftrax, but I will still be seing it.

It's nice to have a date. I can't guarantee I'll be able to see it, but still, it's nice.
Kinda disappointed it's October, and not September, but oh well.

Guess I won't be seeing it in theaters after all. :( Will be on vacation during its run.
