Shin Godzilla box office success
 

Shin Godzilla has grossed more than 50 million dollars at the Japanese BO and has already become the highest grossing Godzilla (the previous one was G2014 which grossed around 30 million). The movie has very strong legs and has a real chance of becoming the highest grossing movie at the Japanese BO this year.

That's good to hear. Reboots are a tricky thing to do, but I'm happy to see that Shin Godzilla's doing well so far.

The movie really connected with the Japanese audience at a emotional level. What the 1954 movies was to the atomic bombing this movie is to the Fukushima disaster.
