Animated Henshin Hero and Sentai shows
Yes, I know. "Animation?! Sentai that's not Toku!" But in the words of Adam Savage "I reject your reality and substitute my own".
Now for what can be Animated Toku. Tekkaman Blade is a very good example, so is Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!, and the new Tron Uprising. He can become Tron without his disc, you know. There's also Ben 10/Alien Force/Ultimate. And Green Lantern, definately. (And the Live-Action GL movie counts as Toku. Since he needs the ring to change, and its all Live Action). So does Voltron, and we can even go old school up in this. Visionaries, Silverhawks, Thundercats, Centurions, SWAT Katz. Which is a show I dearly miss. So what was your favorite animated Toku? |
From what little of Tekkaman Blade's dub as Teknoman I saw, I enjoyed. SRMTHFG was a great show and I am a proud fan of Ben 10, with Alien Force being my favorite series with Ultimate Alien a close second. I enjoyed the original but 10-year old Ben got on my nerves a bit too much. I know what I said is considered sacrilege to a good number of Ben 10 fans, but when they became teenagers the show's world just opened up for me.

If you would count Green Lantern in that though, that means its fair game for any superhero cartoon.

Several classic anime shows also count-
*Ronin Warriors *Sailor Moon *Gatchaman/G-Force/Eagle Riders *Voltron All teams with transformation powers. |

Toku needs a solid definition rather than just a direct translation because everything is fucking toku as long as it has some kind of special effect -3-
