Did you happen to see if the MMPRs still have silver belts?

I didn't look at red or green from wave 1 but blue and black from wave2 DO have silver belt straps.

Goddammit. That's gonna be a paint o paint. Red and Green had correct white belts.

The weird thing is the figures otherwise have no silver plastic on them. ;/

It doesn't bother me personally but I'm more of a robot guy so the suit details are negligible for me.

Actually, the belts are molded in silver plastic. If you watch MMPR Toys' review and look at the blue ranger, you'll see dark swirls on the belt, left of the morpher.

I know, that's what I said. It's weird that the belts are cast in silver, yet there's no other silver plastic besides the belt on the figures (MMPR Red and Green have no silver plastic at all) so Bandai added the silver to the amount of plastic colours for no reaosn but to make the toys inaccurate.

Sorry. It just sounded like you meant that there was no silver plastic whatsoever. A lot of people still believe the belts are painted silver, not molded.

Painting them white's gonna suck, too.

I think I worked out a way for doing that.

1. Paint the belts with acrylic gray paint as a base. Don't use enamel, because it won't fully dry on the silver plastic.

2. Spray top coat on the belt to seal the gray paint.

3. Paint with multiple coats of white paint until the color is even. Maybe add a drop of gray to the white paint to match the shade of white. I suppose you could also use enamel now that the top coat is applied, but I only experimented with acrylic.

4. Spray top coat again to seal the white paint and done.

I used the sword from a Jungle Fury Shark Ranger for this, since it's made of the same if not similar plastic and the paint didn't scratch off, crack or flake.
