Well it does say he is from a wealthy family so either he is a smug asshole or is from a family of them.

According to the teaser he's not smug. If anything he's kind of a goof. XD

Never said that he would be a smug a-hole, just that that's what the name Preston sounds like to me. Based on the description and preview it doesn't fit his personality at all, which is why I'm hoping he goes by a nickname or his last name.
