A new Daikan has created a dome of powerful energy, pitch-black on the outside but within things are eternally bright so citizens can be forced to work around the clock. Fortunately, Lucky has a new KyuTama to test...

Am I the only one to notice that Garu's pants are different? Or is it just me?

Well that was an--unusual power up for red. I can't think of any other time a red power up has actually primarily powered up a different character just by being used. I like that it actually focuses on two other heroes.

I like this frame. It's hard to look chill while in a pile of garbage but Balance manages to pull it off. :p

Anyway, this was another distinctly average episode of Kyuranger, which is good for me, because I like Kyuranger a lot! But this one certainly won't be turning any heads like last week. There are a couple interesting things about it though. Namely that for only the second time we have a different writer than usual, which I'm pretty sure, for Sentai, is a really low number out of 17 total episodes so far. But Naruhisa Arakawa has been around the block when it comes to this franchise, so as long as he isn't coming up with weird plots about tomatoes, you'd hardly notice anything's up.

Gotta love how the plot here is basically "Lucky gets beat up a bunch, and then gets a power up that isn't actually for him", though. And I don't even just mean that as a joke. It actually is kind of impressive that they took an episode that could've easily been Lucky-centric and made it about other people.

Welp, I guess there's going to be a Space Sheriff Gavan and Dekaranger kyutamas next week... ������

Ha! People joked about Balance looking like a Stand, and now he fought like a Stand!

Okay episode, just some mindless fun and action. Props to the writers, I expected the power-up to be all about Lucky but they instead used it to empower his allies. I liked that a lot.

Next episode promises to be a good one, looks like a fun crossover!

Balance's actor DID just finish voicing Josuke in Diamond is Unbreakable...
And Lucky supports his teammates. Holy fuck, Lucky supports his teammates. That's actually pretty cool, a supporting role in the battle for the Red
