Go-Busters Mission 24 discussion "A très bien Summer Festival"
 

In this episode we see Hiromu make a bigger fool of himself then he normally does when his high school chums ask for his help and join their performance troupe at the city's summer festival. But the Wataameloid may put a damper on those plans.

Man, that was a silly as hell episode, but I loved it. The Cottoncandyroid was an insane concept, and the way J acted around him was gold.

This episode reaffirmed my opinion that J is the greatest character in the show as of yet. I love how he's so monotone about everything.

Great use of irony in taking down the cottoncandyroid.

I have to say, the mech fight was pretty impressive this episode.

This episode didn't do very much for me outside the metaroid, J and the mecha battle. Was kinda disappointed Ace "borrowing" 05 didn't turn out to be their combo though.

I found that ridiculously dissapointing. It should have been the Ace/Stag Combo from the toy.

While I liked the Cottoncandyroid, that was pretty much the only thing I liked this episode :( This show is really starting to fall into the worst of stereotypical sentai plots. I found myself pretty bored last night watching this. It felt like they were actualy trying to give Hiromu some characterization but the guy still seems less interesting than a bottle of glue.

I knew Go-Busters wouldn't be as good as Gokaiger but I never knew it would be this....bland. Toei should just bring out the final mecha now and end the series early, cutting their losses and starting fresh with a HOPEFULLY better season.

@Den-O, Zeoranger 5: I'm kinda bummed that the Ace/SJ 05 combo didn't show up this week too. There's really no wow factor to this series at all. I get that they want to make it like Power Rangers but it's turning out to be as bland as the later Disney seasons,RPM excluded.

I'm a little disappointed that Ace and Stag didn't combine, I thought for sure they would've. Hiromu really needed this episode though, to make him shine.

This was the first ep I've seen since the first. Like it but don't love it yet.

I am the only one that found this episode to be on creepy levels?

First off, how is Hiromu and friends in Middle School in that flashback? Middle school is like 11-14, they looked way older than that. Secondly, the relationship between Hiromu and the teacher is even worse. If she was their teacher when they were in middle school, she would have to beat at least 12 years older than them (does not help she looks like a high school student in the flashback either), meaning someone is robbing the kindergarten.

I did like Cottoncandyroid though, but once again these villians run away from battle way too quickly and hardly put up a fight.
