I've said it before but I love the reference to Knight Rider and Knight Industries. :lolol
While Madrex was an obvious reference to the Mad Max movies and its protagonist Max, the new boss Cannonborg and planet Needham, where he supposedly originates from, is a reference to the Burt Reynolds movie The Cannonball Run and its director Hal Needham.
