It just felt cheap and tacky, sure that is an inherent part of Toku but I dunno...it was just...so much more so. It felt more like a fanmade series given the general lack of quality in any area. I probably wouldn't have been nearly as harsh either if this was fanmade.

I can't say a lot for Go-busters, not having watched it much, but I get a general sense of what you're saying, and I think it's just unfamiliarity with a certain "style" of different countries' filming. When I was a kid, that turned me off Ultraman and other Tokusatsu because I was just not used to watching them, it felt so unfamiliar, so unsettling and yes, a bit cheap.
In fact, I feel this way watching anything not American. When I had my first glimpse at Doctor Who, I felt that same unsettled feeling. Even as a kid, while I enjoyed the Mr Bean episodes, I felt something was wrong. I enjoyed some Hong Kong and Korean dramas, but they felt too smooth and fake-feeling.
When I started my first Super Sentai series, Shinkenger, I felt weird watching it fresh off Power Rangers RPM. RPM was fast-paced, lots of flashy lights with fights that were quick and gritty. Shinkenger was very drawn out, and the drawn out nature of things made it more easy to spot flaws inherent in Tokusatsu (both Power Rangers and Super Sentai).
I told myself I would probably quit after a few episodes, but I was curious to see how the story went, so I stayed on.
Once I got past the unsettled feeling, I began to enjoy it a lot more and I still do to this day. It's really just something you have to break in to. I'm not sure why we feel this way. It might be culture shock, but I suspect it has something to do with the video framerate or something, I don't know. Kind of like how the people who watched the Hobbit in 60fps felt it looked really fake.
