While his drive to two-time both sides is said to be his connection with his friends and not wanting to see them suffer, you can tell the main drive is his feelings for Mai. I can see his whole "Do it for Mai's sake" mindset leading him down a self-destructive path. He's definitely a character that most likely isn't going to still be alive in the final episode. I'll be shocked if he survives the entire way.

Micchy is my favorite character so far , He does really walk the path of self-destruction and that is very entertaining and interesting to watch. I expect his character to get more extreme as the situation turns even more drastic.

The way i see the show is that we have 3 ideals and 4 main characters who will be fighting to prove their ideals :
Micchy/Takatora : The end justiFAIZ the means.
Kaito : Only the strong deserves to live.
Kouta : Will refuse both extremes and decides to fight the way he thinks is right.

I think Micchy wouldn't die until the very end , Takatora on the other hand keeps raising death flags each episode. Betrayal is surely imminent.
