For some reason I've been having issues with this site, as much as I've wanted to yap about the shows I've been watching and what I'm looking forward to, but I suppose better late than never.

Best New Show of 2025
Gozjyuger would have taken this spot, but I honestly have to give it to Gavv, which the remaining bulk of its run concluded this year, and boy did it have some of my favorite moments.

Favorite New-to-You Show of 2025
After how many years? I finally realized I could have put Kamen Rider Kuuga here last year, but for this year, I'm going with Mirai Sentai Timeranger. While Carranger was a blast and lived up to one of the funniest shows ever, I think Timeranger surprised me more which has made this (and Carranger, no disrespect) one of my favorite Sentai Shows.

Favorite Movie, Miniseries, or Special of 2025
Fes Godzilla II Shinjuku Burning. I always look forward to Toho's Tokusatsu shorts just like the old days, plus Burning Millenium Godzilla is just plain cool.

Favorite Rewatch of 2025
Ultraman Orb. this show is just such a delight with its classic yet modern feel, plus it gave us Jugglus Juggler and one of my favorite Ultra Kaiju, Maga Orochi.

Favorite Male Lead Character
While Shouma was definitely endearing and enjoyable, I think I'm giving this to Sorato Okida from Ultraman Omega, who is just as, if not more so. "Yippee-ai-ay! Yippee-ai-oh!"

Favorite Female Lead Character
Not to sound pretentious, but I can't think of anyone who really fits this position. Not to knock on any of the leading ladies we've had this year (and carryovers from last year) I just can't think of anyone to pick.

SO! I'm consolidating this position and Supporting Female Character to our girl Sachika from Kamen Rider Gavv! She didn't need to be a Rider and she definitely wasn't comic relief, and she became one of the most memorable characters in this show, since she carried a lot of this show and surprised me along the way.

Favorite Male Supporting Character
Gozjyu Tyranno/Ryugu from Gozjyuger. I honestly thought at the beginning Gozjyu Eagle would be my favorite, but this man is basically Woz 2.0. so I had to.

Favorite Writer
Akiko Inoue or whoever was in charge of Gozjyuger, because all the wordplay and elements and who they work so well together is insanely clever and a lot of fun!

Favorite Villain
I debated on whether to give this to BoonBoomger's Wild Spindor or Gavv's Lango, but because I want to be fair for this year, I'm giving this to Fire Candle from Gozjyuger. I like this flamboyant maniac and his mech, plus this guy got to be a Sentai!

Favorite Suit Design
RyoTegaSward Gozjyu Wolf. Xross Saber has returned! But in all seriousness, I wasn't too big on the Gozjyuger Suits (save Unicorn) because I wasn't a fan of the white hands and shoes clashed with the general look of the suits, which I had grown to, but then Wild Gozjyu Wolf debuted, and it fixed my nitpick with the otherwise solid suits. BUT THEN! Another power-up later and I had a new favorite, despite going back to the nitpick I had. Ultraman Omega Rekiness Armor is a close second.

Favorite Weapon/Vehicle/Mecha
Tegasword. IYASAKA! Sorry Meteor Kaiju, you're all close second for me.

Favorite Fight Scene
Master Form Gavv debut vs Lango. I rewatched this fight right after the episode, which is rare for me.

Favorite Dramatic Scene
I'm sure there are better picks, I know that there are better moments, but I just have to bring up the fact that one of my favorite characters in Kamen Rider Gavv, Dente-Ojisan, died on my Birthday. Very cool, Toei.

Favorite Comedic Scene
Ryugu converting a bunch of citizens in the Festival Number One Battle to Tegasword-Sama.

Biggest "WTF did I just watch?" Moment
The Robot Wedding.

Favorite Song
Either "Winner! Gozjyuger," "You Be One Winner," or "Bright Eyes." BoonBoomger's Opening won last year, so I can't do it again, as much as I love it.

Favorite Piece of Merchandise
I am planning to buy the TegaSword and RyoTegaSword, so that counts.

Biggest Surprise of 2025
Kamen Rider Zeztz being simulcast (not everywhere, but still a huge step forward).

The Minus Energy Award of 2025
This is a stuffed one but bear with me. The Maya Imamori Situation, while I don't like how this went down (I wish the best for her), I understand that in the end, it is what it is, so I'm not too upset about it. BUT! Under normal circumstances I wouldn't mind having an actor/actress recast (and no offense to her replacement, I like her enough, but it doesn't feel the same) over controversy, if it hadn't been for the fact that this is SUPER SENTAI'S 50th ANNIVERSARY SHOW THAT WAS ALSO IT'S LAST (for the foreseeable future) that gets me. Plus, remember the episodes that were made to edit out Sumiko? Those episodes weren't that good, as they felt like too much was going on and yet not enough, that's not to say I didn't have any enjoyment out of them, but they didn't have the same energy as it did up to this point, hence why I hesitate to say it's the "best" show of 2025, despite how much I enjoy it.

TL; DR Too Long Didn't Read Version: Super Sentai's last hurrah is kind of a mess for me.

Sorry for the little rant, but anyway, yes, I am definitely looking forward to Gavan Infinity and Beat Runners.
