I agree with EVERYTHING else though Matrix. I was starting to think I was going mad when I read this thread, so it's good to know I wasn't alone in thinking DT had a great first half of establishing things, then a terrible second half of wrapping them up... That and Kira being one of the most unfoundedly overhyped Rangers in the entire history of the franchise, simply on the grounds of 'she was sorta emo and when I was fifteen that was kinda hot'.

It's really jaw dropping that the best character, Ethan, is written off as a lame cliche of nerdy teens when he's probably the most well rounded and interesting one (Though he does have issues, usually when he has to sound tech savvy and the writers don't know how computers work, or when he has to talk about a video game and the writers can't use real characters so it sounds like he's spouting nonsense).

But wow, that second half. Multiple plots and story threads tying together, all to get resolved in the course of 2 episodes and give the viewer the middle finger for getting invested. It was so infuriating that I had to stop watching DT for a week during my re-watch of the series
