Forgot to mention that I finally started Monogatari Second Season. Just in time to get it done before the next series starts!

I went into Tsubasa Tiger with apprehension just because I'm bored of the ungodly amount of focus this show gives Hanekawa. I know she probably has the most fleshed out background of all of the cast but her story seems to just go on and on. Thankfully this was undoubtedly the best of her three arcs, giving great characterisation to all of her personas and tying everything up nice and neatly. I think it helped that Koyomi wasn't around either, as the characters all interact quite differently without him.

Meanwhile Mayoi Jiangshi was PERFECT, hands down my favourite Monogatari arc so far. Sure it sucks if you're a Mayoi fan because she's barely in it, but as a Shinobu fan I couldn't have been happier. Even though I could see the twists coming a mile off, that didn't make them any less unsatisfying to see unfold onscreen.
