That is such a good theory that I've accepted as canon already. This also allows Genm to crossover into any Rider's universe with ease because Genm will start whaling on anything he comes across, whether they are Dopants, Yummies, Inves, Roidmude or even other Riders, thinking that they are videogame enemies.

Glad someone agrees with me. He even had the grates amount clothes changed, going from his original brown getup to his vaguely fascistic black Ganma clothes to finally settling on that lime green monstrosity made by Grandma Fumi.

In fact, considering how dynamically Alain changed during course of Ghost, starting as a villain and ending up as a good guy, I would argue that he is main character and Makoto is his sidekick.
