What do you mean? He already figured out the voice he kept hearing was his mom several episodes ago. He had a whole conversation with Akari about it.

What was with that Genm cameo? It was cool, I loved every second of possibly-evil-Mumen Rider, but he just showed up, did Specter and Necrom's jobs for them, and left without a word. Probably to get back to the right set. "YEAH, take that Bugster scum!... Wait, this isn't the hospital..."

Well, that was an ending. One of the weaker finales I've seen... but it made more sense than Den-O's. It's not as good, but it had more build up and wrapped up the overall story better, I feel. Nothing too special about it though. It was like Ghost in a nutshell- generic character stuff, side characters not doing much, and Spectre being written out halfway through

Oh, right. I forgot about that. My memory is pretty shoddy at times, it must have just slipped my mind.

I've been seeing theories that Genm is an AI that thinks he's in a video game, beating up whatever mooks he sees because he's trying to get to the end of the level. I'll actually be pretty damn disappointed if it's wrong, since it seems so accurate, judging by how wordless and all-business Genm is.

Although I must admit I find it kind of disconcerting how frequently I see people forget about parts of Ghost entirely. I know it hasn't been very memorable but is it really LITERALLY unmemorable? ![]()

Still would be amazing if that's true though! |

Yeah I'm pretty sure the only reason GENM didn't say anything is because they've been trying to be extremely secretive about his identity. They haven't officially revealed anything about him, technically not even the fact that he's called GENM. If he said anything that would immediately allow us to know who he is, which they clearly don't want.
It would certainly be an interesting idea for a character though...also, may still be true, in a sense? I'm pretty much convinced he's Parad, who's a Bugster, and Bugsters being game viruses...well, they're probably AI. And his establishing line was "fate is like a puzzle game..." well, probably not exactly what the speculation is going for, but eh. We do already know regardless of anything else that he's a higher-up in the Bugster ranks though, so rather than fight mooks he's more likely to command them tbh. |

In fact, considering how dynamically Alain changed during course of Ghost, starting as a villain and ending up as a good guy, I would argue that he is main character and Makoto is his sidekick. |

Hey, that's my line! This show is genuinely wonderful but only, like, me, KyoryuGreen, and maybe like two other people on this whole forum seem to feel that way.
I figured I'd be used to liking shows other people hate by now but all the negativity I see surrounding Ghost every week really harshes my mellow. I'm kind of glad I waited till 40-some episodes in to start posting again. I think the biggest reason I'm looking forward to Ex-Aid at this point is the hope I can actually be on the same page as everyone else for a year again. I mean, there's no way people could end up thinking it's worse than Ghost, right? ...right?
