After being absent for personal reasons, I'm back! And yes, I got to see all the reveals and I'm even more excited for this!

Godzila: Minus One! That's a title. In another way, instead of referring to the "From Zero to Minus" which is brilliant, it can also be a slight nod to the announcements of detonations (eg. "T Minus One") which serves as a perfect analogy to Godzilla as a living nuclear bomb.

The design, while heavily resembling The Ride design, it is actually quite different. Most predominantly, the dorsal plates. The spines on the plates are long and spiky and are more jagged and rough. The neck is longer and thinner, the hands are smaller and have no opposable thumbs, the legs are slightly different, the skin is burned and scarred, the eyes are slightly bigger, and the whole body isn't as bulky. I love it! I'll even go as far to say as this is my favorite modern Godzilla design (including Legendary's), overtaking Ultima who held it previously.

And what's more? A US release date in less than a month? And the prospect of being in major theaters (or at least, Regal Theaters, which there's one near me and ironically showed Shin Ultraman, that I unfortunately had to miss for reasons)? SOLD! I always thought there were no movies, or at least American Movies, that would bring me to the theater this year, but because they don't say "limited screening" there is hope, and I'm all for it!

On another note, it's kind of funny how Oppenheimer premieres this month and Godzilla Minus One a few months later, as if it's a prequel. Not exactly interested in it, but I still find it funny.
