I've noticed that too. When Blazar partially takes over to notice the baby Demaaga, I feel it could have been blazar opposing Gento on killing it. I like how it's showing Ultraman being a benevolent alien to the point it refuses to allow the host to have full control.

It also sort of confirms my theory on Blazar's design being asymmetrical in a way, where the left side is Blazar, while the right more plain is Gento. By which I mean the design not as a whole.

However, either can be true, it's so far only a detail and could very likely be a coincidence. We shall see how the show plays out to fully know how this works.
