I didn't read much of the above posts so I do not know whether what I post now is said before.
Since Yggdrasill Coporation is to tech-based, I assumed that the Musou Saber is programmed into the belts like the base suits, thus Gaim and OG Zangetsu can access the Musou Sabers as they are using belts with Musou Saber programmed in them.

It does not seem the weapon is automatically given to Japanese base suits, as Kurokage and Kamuro, both being Japanese themed, do not have a saber. Gaim and Original Zangetsu are the only two who own one. I think the biggest question of them all is: Why Gaim? I can get why Ryouma would program a saber into Zangetsu, as the big boss of Yggrasill obviously needs the most powerful suit. But Gaim is just one of the guinea pig suits, not intended be powerful at all. |

I don't think it's an error, as Gaim in Jimber Lemon arms dual wielded a Musou Saber along with a Sonic Arrow during the battle against Bravo in episode 18.

You'd expect Zangetsu to at least have one as well due to being the original design.

I don't really have a in story explanation for why Gaim, Zangestu, Bujin Gaim, and Jam have a Musou Sabers but Kurogane and Kamuro don't have one.
I do however have theories regarding the toyline reasons: Gaim: He was most likely the one they designed Musou Saber for the reason I say this is because the Daidaimura, Pine Iron, and the Dj Gun are the only weapons that can combine with the Musou Saber. Those weapons belonging to primarily Gaim based Arms Changes. Zangestu: He most likely has one either because they wanted to hammer the Gaim counterpart point in or because his primary arms change form has a primarily defensive weapon. Bujin Gaim and Jam: They're both evil counterparts to Gaim that both wield a recolored version of the Daidaimura and the designers mostly likely wanted to keep the Naginata mode of the Daidaimura in their Arms Change figures. Kurogane and Kamuro: They both wield a spear and staff respectively both of which are primarily two-handed weapons. The Pine Iron is excluded from this because it's combined mode with the Musou Saber is based on a Kusarigama with the Pine Iron being the weight and the Musou Saber being the sickle. In summation, The Musou Saber was designed for Gaim primarily, Zangestu has one either because they wanted to hammer a point in or because his main Arms change weapon was a shield, and Bujin Gaim and Jam have one because they both wield a Daidaimura. Kurogane and Kamuro don't have one because they both wield primarily two-handed weapons. I hope that helps even if only a little. Quote:
Granted that isn't really a story justification but that is about as close as we're going to get without having to bs a explanation. *shrugs* Last edited by Koh; 09-20-2014 at 08:08 AM.. Reason: I forgot to say something in my post |

In show, the Musou Saber is only on the first two Sengoku Driver prototypes: Zangetsu and Gaim. Start with the 3rd prototype (Baron) onwards, it was dropped for unknown reasons. All other Riders with Musou Saber are AU Riders, so they don't count for in show arguments.
My guess for why the Musou Saber was dropped is because Ryouma realized the armor provided it's own weapons and/or it was to costly for Yggdrasil to mass produce with every belt. Remember, the Driver is meant to be post apocalyptic survival gear designed by a corporation. A corporation is going to go with the most cost effective model, which is Kurokage. It uses a common Lockseed and the belt is the cheapest to make. In the real world, Bandai wanted Gaim to have a sword in every form as his main weapon. Zangetsu has one because he wouldn't have a melee weapon otherwise. It's not cost effective to give every Rider a sword when they already have a different main weapon, so no other riders have them otherside of movies and specials. |

So that means they'll eventually be done in by a disgruntled fan.
Sounds about right.
