Okay, so DHL shipping from Mandarake's Nakano branch isn't actually free. It just wasn't calculated yet. It was late, I was tired and not reading clearly. Still, the shipping ultimately ended up just being 1100 yen, which still ain't bad (a little worse when I found out that Paypal's accepted conversion rate is a little lower than the actual conversion rate, but not by that much). But yeah, item's in stock and should be shipping out soon.

Since my birthday is in March, I thought I should treat myself to something a little nice. This is my March haul, catching up with my Wizard stuff and my Kyoryuger stuff, also grabbed the Chogokin Franky for an awesome price. They threw in a Land Dragon vinyl for free.

Yeah Nakano just has a special rate for DHL but shipping is never free from any of the Mandarake shops. Some times DHL is cheaper than EMS but not always. But DAMN it is fast. I ordered a DX Gingaioh on a Sunday night last October and it was delivered the following Tuesday morning!

I have a couple similar experiences with DHL from Nakano. super fast. And the only time I've seen EMS be cheaper than DHL was on Genocider, it was 4000 instead of 4500. All my other fast shipped orders have always been DHL.

That first email from Mandarake is always an automated one confirming you made the order. The followup email with the shipping price is the actual "yes you got it" payment request. Since they're a retail outlet and their stock is out on the floor, if you order something and they've sold it in the store before they pack it up you will get an ORDER CANCEL email instead of a payment request.

Haha yeah. My birthday isn't till the 22nd but I thought "Why not?" Ordered these somewhere near the end of February, didn't plan on them actually arriving on the 1st (today) of March.
