Since we've now got a discussion for Shin (arguably the worst Rider movie and movie Rider simultaneously) here's a discussion for ZO, arguably one of the best (alongside ZX).
If you haven't seen ZO then give it a whirl over at TV-Nihon fansubs, you won't regret it (there may be another group who subbed it but I'm unaware). Made in 1993, ZO definitely has the classic feel of Ishinimori. ZO is a basic Rider with his ZO Punch and ZO Kick and rides his epic bike the Z-Bringer! Of the movie riders he has a fantastic, simple design. Originally a lab assistant turned partial Neo-Organism when ZO awakened from his 2 year coma he began his battle for justice! Check out this music video with clips from the movie to catch ZO in action!

ZO was a great movie. Seeing Doras and the Neo-Organism as the enemies in the Decade movie (All Riders?) was awesome.
And I STILL can't tell the difference between him and J ![]() |

ZO has the thin gold striping, J has the thick green striping.
I like the ZO movie, especially all the cool visual effects and monster designs. I do think the story is a bit rushed, though, like they're trying to cram too much into a small space. That's the one area where I think J is definitely superior - the story fits the running time much better. Still, I like both a lot and am always happy to see ZO and J show up again, especially normal-sized J. |

J has thicker stripes, and his bike looks different. That's pretty much it. Also, I really want to know if anyone's first experience with Kamen Rider was this:
Oh, and ZO would not fit in with Ultraman like J would, that's an important difference.
