I could not possibly have been more pleased by that ending I was all smiles and squealing in joy the whole time. That Gokai Change marathon they did in the final battle was BRILLIANT. And it's about time Gai got to be the star of the show. Special Charge baby!

I'm going to miss this show so much. In the meantime, here's 35 things awesome about the final episode of Gokaiger (mostly in order of how they happened with my 2 favorite bits to end it):

[SPOILERS from here on]

1. Marvelous slash the Gokaiger logo.
2. Title: “See You Space Pirate” pleases the Cowboy Bebop fan in me.
3. Gokai Shooting Star does damage. That’s a first.
4. Navi grave robs Basco’s ship and makes a show of it!
5. When in doubt, RAM IT!
6. Marvelous throws the Bird.
7. Ackdos holding his ground in a chair while fighting hand-to-hand.
8. Let’s find out if this ship can take out an armada. IT CAN.
9. Good use of Extra Rangers including some nice combos.
10. Doc is literally a tool.
11. Demorphed Rising Strike.
12. “We’re not aiming at you!”
13. Gai stabs Ackdos with his trident so Ackdos is left on the exploding ship.
14. Another new version of Final Wave. This attack never gets old.
15. Who the hell do you think we are?! moment where the Gokaigers make Ackdos realize he’s screwed.
16. Gai’s magic finger drives the message home.
17. Helmetless Role Call.
18. “One last time. Let’s give him a showstopper!”
19. Ranger showcase. At least 1 ranger from every Sentai is used in the combo.
20. Tomokazu Seki completes the showcase with the name call outs for every team.
21. Theme matching. Within the 35 combo they match up many team themes such as Turboranger, Carranger, and Go-Onger all speed attacking at once while Goggle Five and Fiveman hold Ackdos with ribbons.
22. SUPER RANGER. The team all go into a super mode of a different team, Gai into Gold Mode.
23. The Final FINAL WAVE complete with the Gokaiger emblem.
24. He’s not dead! Let’s shoot him some more!
25. SHOW-STOPPING WAVE at point blank range no less.
26. Gai, who has the most to lose in this fight, gets to head the final attack
27. Gokai Galleon is fixed. Love that ship.
28. What could be set up for Super Hero Taisen. Both the new goal of the Gokaigers and the fact that all Sentai heroes have their powers back.
29. Gokaigers still don’t like to admit they’re heroes. To the class featured in the first episode and 199 Heroes no less.
30. AkaRed is left wide open to return later. Did anyone really buy his “death” being off screen?
31. The Gokaigers all have good character bits in the credits.
32. Cameos! All the cameos you can eat!
33. Tsuyoshi Kaijo gets the final cameo of the series and ends with morphing in Akaranger.
34. “You can whine about it to your kid when you’re dead.” Marvelous gives the best burn ever.
35. Marvelous finally got his curry!

Truly a great series. I will miss it.

Also I love the hand off where Marvelous continues to be a bad ass and punches Red Buster, and then Red Buster turns around to bow to Marvelous before getting on his bike, I had tears in my eyes at that point.

Okay. This officially beat RPM for the number 1 spot for me. This was a fantastic series, from beginning to end. I can't even sit through an entire season of PR (except for RPM) and I had never watched Super Sentai before this and it made me a permanent fan.

And yes, the dead line just rocked me. That was awesome.

The hand off was good, the overall feeling was good. I'm so floored and impressed by it.
If Saban does bring it here, it better be damned close to the original material because no one should be robbed of this experience.

YES! I love how they addressed all that bending and folding actually hurts the person, can you imagine Gai turning into Gosei Knight and then turns into a headder?

Omigosh, WHAT AN AWESOME EPISODE.

My friend and I were watching it on a big screen TV that made it that much more awesome. The final overkill of the emperor was as glorious as it could be, with so much nostalgia of every single team in history. It could not be more awesome.

There's no doubt, this is a season to be remembered. I can't get enough of Gokaiger and will eagerly anticipate any of their future appearances.

Gokaiger was by far not my first sentai, nor my first to finish, I've been watching Sentai for a very long time.

I say this not to sound arrogant, or as some sort of "better Fan" but to try to add weight to what I say.

Gokiager was AMAZING, and those calling it the best ending ever are so correct! It took everything Decade failed to do and perfected it. It stayed interesting throughout the whole series, it had SO many guest stars none could complain. And It knew you do not show us ONE hurricanger, those three are an unseperable force of nature!

Hot manly tears do I cry for all this series accomplished. I don't think It topped Jetman, Hurricanger or Gekiranger but it's definetly earned it place towards the top of the mountain.

My only hope moving forward is that Power Ranger is able to capture even 1/10th of this magic. theres so much here for them to work with, and so much room for them to tell thier own stories by just drawing from thier own personal fictions (Can anyone imagine the potential Epicness of receiving the IN SPACE grand powers?)


Farewell Gokaiger, we shall see you again in your next 3 movies.... you served us well.

But for the first time in a VERY long while, I feel that the teams story is complete, that I can accept the next team openly just 1 week later, and I wholeheartedly look forward to GoBusters!

Gaoranger did a nice 25th, Boukanger did an "eh...it was OK" 30th, but they gave us AkaRed. Gokaiger trumped them ALL, and I wish we could jump forward 15 years and watch the 50th anniversary!

Man 50th anniversary! Will most of the legends still be around by then? If I had any kids I would hype it up!
