Are certain Mechs alive?

My favorite Mechs from MMPR/Sentai have always been vehicles, so for me non-alive. Though I did enjoy Wild Force's pantheon of living beasts.

I don't know if anyone mention it or not, but wouldn't red Lightning and..Mountain Blaster zord be alive in some sort of way as well? since the Mountain Blaster came back to Justin on it's own back in PR In space, and gave him back the turbo morpher?

I'm not saying he was alive, but Gokai-oh often seemed to change facial expression... So, make of that what you will.
