Looking really sweet. It's too bad we haven't gotten a modern, fully-transforming Gridman (hint, hint SOC) but this would look great on any shelf.

I may be mistaken, but didn't the jets combine into a bigger jet too?

Yes and no. The smaller jet can dock on the underside but it only adds two tail fins to the back.
