Just finished the first two episodes. Nightmare Moon is scarier then I thought she'd be, and Pinkie Pie was a pleasant surprise as she started off annoying me but has a very nice charm to her by the end. Ending was a little anticlimactic but not bad. Current rankings for the core six in my opinion are:
1. Twilight Sparkle 2. Rainbow Dash 3. Pinkie Pie 4. Rarity 5. Applejack 6. Fluttershy |

Twilight really clicked with me for some reason. Maybe it's her not being very social at the start, or the fact she's played by Tara Strong.

Twilight is a great character, and it's easy to love her.
Personally, my favorite is Rarity, but I won't pressure you to love her (It wasn't until Season 2, Episode 5, Sisterhooves Social, for me to rank her first). Anyway, I hope you like the ensuing episodes. A lot of them tend to change opinions on characters (Notably, Dragonshy).
