Dodgy ending aside, I really like Parting of the Ways. That moment where Lynda with a y is killed by the Dalek and you can just see it flash "exterminate" with no sound is a brilliantly done scene.

The Emperor redesign was great too, coming from a time before they overused closeups of a Dalek mutant.

Completely loved seeing Vastra, Jenny, and Strax again. Those three need their own Torchwood like series. Another great episode, and I loved every second. But I have been looking forward for next weeks.

Watched the episode last night as I was a little behind and once again I am convinced Gatiss could run the show far better than Moffat. A fantastic episode, a little rushed around the edges but MUCH better than the majority of this half-season. I'm in agreement Vastra, Strax and Jenny need a spin off series but I'm not quite sure how it would work. They are sometimes a bit too adult for kids TV and a bit too kiddy for an adult show. Still, it needs to happen.

Next weeks should be great. I have faith in you Gaiman, but please don't ruin the episode with those kids.

I wasn't expecting to like the episode but I did. It was a fun ride, and I think the blind girl, Ada, was a great character.

I'm also excited at the prospect of those two kids coming along as companions. That would shake up the usual formula a bit.

Time to look forward to the Cyberman episode! Hope it doesn't disappoint.

I'd be worried if anyone was writing the show except Gaiman. After The Doctor's Wife, I am very willing to see where he goes with this.

Also surprised everyone forgot about one of the best jokes in the episode this week.

Personally The Crimson Horror was my least favourite episode of Part 2.

The Doctor was incompetent with none of that hidden intellect.
Another week, another adventure where Clara just feels sorta tacked on for the Doctor to oggle rather than to do anything.
The Scooby Gang are overhyped, unfunny and uninteresting. Wow she sounds like Mary Poppins and she is also a ninja! Wow she is a lizard and also gay! Wow it's funny because he's a fierce warrior manchild! No.
I had no idea what the villains motivations were.
Nothing had any build up or establishment.

It was just blah.

Oh definitely, The Doctor's Wife was the best episode since Eccleston's season IMO so if any one can do it right its probably him.
