I'd argue that those "delusions of grandeur" are more him playing around with his fans and our love of Tommy. He knows he's only human. He posted a very human and very solemn video to his Facebook fan page after the Aurora shooting, and just the way he handled that shows that he has a firm grasp on his humility and his humanity.

Saban says no.

There is no "Worse" scenario considering if we don't even try to fight back their "No" will be set in stone.
