Don't care about the Akibaranger stuff, so I pre-ordered my MMPR version. I will try to get one at retail as well as one online.

I hope the shield is able to stay on well...that's my 1 gripe with chest-shield ranger figures, the MMPR original Green Ranger, White Ranger auto-morphing Green Ranger, and even the recent Armored Might Ranger....all have chest chields that separate too easily! Hopefully since Tamashii designed the Figuarts and not PLEX, the shield stays together very securely.

To each their own about the bonus part. It just makes more sense to me to get the complete figure regardless of the circumstance.

Either way I'm getting it and will most likely be getting extra Bluefin releases to sell via my channel at work.

I was for completing the Akibaranger stuff with the last season's Reds but here I look at the completed Inordinate Cannon and I just don't really care.

If these were all standard releases in Japan I would probably bite(since that's cheaper anyway) but meh, there's more exclusives I want than I can get and paying up front is more of a hassle for me than doing it once a month with AmiAmi.

Plus the only one this time that looks really compelling is the Ryu Ranger with the eyes painted on his helmet and I'm not even sure that's really included. And he's a standard release anyway so I can still change my mind.

But it is. It's on the product page for the figure. It's included in his parts tray so it's no a pack in bonus or anything either so you won't miss out on it. If I'm not mistaken Ryu is a standard release as well.

Oh hey, thanks Kain for useful info! Didn't realize Ryuranger's fate had not yet been sealed between Bandai and Saban. I'm okay if it didn't happen in this case because unlike Kibaranger, the ChinaRed stuff really strongly resonated with me. Kibaranger's alternate origin amused me but not enough to go the extra mile financially to grab a Japanese preorder. Of course, I've never watched Dairanger so there's that too!

Do we know the chest piece comes off for a fact? I assumed just the center medallion could be swapped.

I agree, even before I watched Akibaranger (although now I truly appreciate them) I made sure my Dekared, Red Hawk and Boukenred weren't the neutered releases. If you're going to get the figure, I feel like I'm being swindled by not getting a complete package, even if the accessories aren't important to me, especially considering Bluefin is usually more expensive then just importing the Japanese release.
I'll definitely be getting the original release of Kibaranger over the Bluefin one.
