Hey Gang, you all seem to like these threads of video reviews so here is another! This time it's all about Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. The only difference between these figures and their Japanese counterparts are the materials used (and less paint apps). Here we have mostly plastic while overseas they had much more metal.
The only zord I am missing is Zenith the carrier zord. Never seen it for sale in stores and I most likely am not going to bother with getting it. Again please note that all these reviews were recorded before I had an HD camcorder so the best I could manage is 480p video. Galaxy Megazord Torozord Stratoforce Megazord Centaurus Megazord |

Something that irked me about the Galaxy Megazord are the horns and the fists. I know that they can be stored, but I just don't like that, despite the cats being complete bricks, they still can't even be self contained.
I was never a big fan of any of the zords in this line, they all having one or two things that just got to me that always kept me away, but the Galaxy Megazord had the biggest problems.

I found the futzing around with what the vehicles were in the Centaurus Megazord review both funny and unprofessional

The Torozord was always too chunky for my liking.
The Magna Defender figure he came with was awesome, though.

I love my ToroZord and Magna Defender growing up. I just wished the Toro Zord's crotch stayed up.

I've watched Galaxy Megazord review before.. when this nasty bout of Super Sentai mecha collecting started 2 years ago (and is still going strong) and I was educating myself on all the Power Ranger releases I missed over the years (aka anything after Zeo).
While the only figure from this line I've wanted to and do own is the Centaurus Megazord/GigaRhinos, I do appreciate the attempt at a more classical, pre-Zyuu design to all the mecha. They are blockier and advertise daicast metal at a time where it had been absent for a couple of years. Heck, the main megazord even has completely separate fists in a sorta shout out to all the spring-loaded fists of the older mecha, but brilliantly provided a place to store them. EDIT: Oh hey, and no Astro Galactic Megazord (black & gold Astro Megazord) review? That was released under the Lost Galaxy line ;P Last edited by schlagwerk; 05-20-2013 at 07:13 PM.. |

GigaRhinos and GigaPhoenix look neat though.

No it doesn't.

the transformation barely manages to be more than "stand up and go",
Also the way his feet corkscrew down and his hands rotate out is cool. Quote:
and BullBlack adds nothing more than weight to the "completed" robo.
