I've never really though about actors I'd like to see in the role (honestly I'm not all that attentive when it comes to TV actors) but judging on Rowan Atkinson's performance as the Doctor in "The Curse of Fatal Death" (yes I know it was a comedy episode, but it's still the best Who Moffat has ever written) that's the kind of character I'd like to see. Visually he played him like McGann, but I'm more referring to the kind person with a very snide sense of humour about him.

Companion-wise I'd like to see a larger group again, since it worked so well in "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship". 1 male and 1 female would work too, but I'd like to see them completely unrelated to each other and from different time periods.

Episodes....whatever as long as there's no overarching plot. I'm done with those. I want a big Dalek episode done properly (get Nick Briggs to write it rather than just get him do the voices, he does BRILLIANT Dalek stories). Featuring the Dalek Time Controller is a must as he's the best thing to come out of the Daleks in years.

Since I don't have a way of watching the old series', quick question. Had the time war had happened already, happened during those series, or in between 8 and 9?

It happened sometime between the TV movie and series 1 of the modern show.

It would never happen, but I would love to see John Nobel ( Walter Bishop on Fringe) as the doctor if they would ever have an older actor again. Not really going along with the game, just a thought I had.

I don't think anyone has an issue with John, its just who exactly John is playing people take issue with.
