You know what, I think I understand why MS is now saying it isn't a fee. Since you have to pay the actual price of the game, it isn't a fee, it is a purchase.
Anyway, this is probably my exit ticket. The only people that are going to support this thing are those in denial and those with the MS plug stuck up the wazoo. I really hope MS gets their crap together in time for E3 and announces they are rectifying all of this, because some part of me really did want to own the console again regardless of how much I deny it. BTW, when physical media dies, I stop paying for things. I will NOT buy something cannot physically own. ![]()

I used to think like you guys, but then I found Steam. I don't have to take anything with me if I want to download it to another computer. My favorite thing though is that most of my Steam games are saved, even if I reformat. I just download the game again and picked up where I left off. It's really awesome ![]() |

I'm not the kinda person who has to have a game represented by a plastic disk. It's not like it does anything cool, like turn into a jaguar. And having something downloaded and a part of an account or what have you means you can use it on multiple devices without having to carry around some disk. Especially when you need the disk to play it, then it's just inconvenient.
I guess I can understand some people having the mindset that makes them want to have their game represented in this dimension by a plastic something, but for me, I see it as nothing more than a barrier. I remember a time when that was the standard. I like to think that I'm a logical fellow that can adapt to a change like this based on the standpoint that it is much more efficient.

I use steam alot too. It's expanding. You can delete games and just redownload them later even if you bought them.Time's are changing, xbox shows that. But the reason I dont like it is the rumored preowned theme.Thats going to put alot of videogame specialty stores out of buisness.Half their income is selling preowned games.
