Anyway, as I opened my big mouth about an episode being TJ and Cassie centric, it was an Ashley episode who just didn't have any prominence for the first 10 minutes ![]() She's a decent actress. Carlos hasn't had much to do, though. I also like the updated morphing sequence for TJ and the crew.

I was glad they dropped all the car names for the morphing sequence, I always found them pretty silly.

The effects were better, it streamlined Justin growing, and the morphing sequence overall was much faster, without the naming, the helmet having this awkward CG effect form over their head, and etc.

I'm now 25 episodes into PR Turbo.
I want everyone who declares this series to be bad to present their reasons why. Well, that'll never happen since no one else posts in this thread ![]() Anyway, I'm actually enjoying it. And that's a legitimate shock to myself, considering I was expecting 45 episodes of utter trash, not 45 episodes of a fun and energetic show. I've come to realize that Turbo has a bad rap for the same reason why MMPR and it's actors are fondly remembered. Turbo changed status quo in one fell swoop. Rather than gradually shift characters one (Or, in MMPR's case, 3) at a time, it just replaced everyone, including beloved Green Ranger Tommy. Nostalgia carries that possible childhood anger over losing these characters you've had for the past [X] years (Varying depending on who) and now, because of it, Turbo is then seen as "The bad series" because of it, despite being no worse than MMPR or Zeo, acting and plot wise. The children grow up and due to lack of availability (And later, outright refusal to watch the show you remember as "Bad."), Turbo is seen as horrible. "But I rewatched Turbo and hated it." Because you watched it with the intent on disliking it. You went into Turbo with no intentions on giving it a chance, so you saw every flaw as bigger than they actually were and were unwilling to give it the same liberties you gave the prior seasons. And before I'm attacked, I already know it's completely possible to hate Turbo for your own reasons, completely legit and there's nothing wrong with that. Perhaps Ponies mellowed me out and I'm a lot more forgiving. Who knows. I'm just tired of Turbo hate when it's doing nothing wrong.

The first part of Turbo is not bad per se so much as it was a let down from Zeo. This has more to do with Carranger than Saban. After the cast swap, the show improves quite a bit, and there's a lot of fun in there.. The new cast brings a lot of energy, and the writing steps up as well.
It's a "light" series in a lot of ways, but not nearly as bad as it's rep. The movie is pretty terrible though.

And I agree. While the acting isn't all that much of an improvement, the new cast does enough to make it fresh again. And I agree that the writing steps it up by virtue of not starting 4 different episodes off with Tommy on a race track. :I Quote:
I'll agree wholeheartedly there. No argument from me ![]()
