I don't know.. But he did say that though he keeps coming back alive he is still aging.

S2 E1: New Earth- 15/04/06

The Doctor takes Rose further than she'[s ever gone before, and meets an old foe (Not the Daleks)

Plot
The Doctor takes Rose to New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York to a) see more of the universe and b) find out who sent his Psychic Paper a message: Ward 14, please hurry. They go to a hospital and, after getting put through a human car wash, arrive on two different floors: 10 on the right floor, and Rose in the basement. Where she gets led by a weird tattoo person into a basement with CASSANDRA in it. It turns out she survived through taking skin from her back (Yes, she's talking out of her-). She sticks her brain into Rose's head, and decides to comment on her new body. Fanservice ensues.

When she finally joins 10 on the top floor, he comments on how the Cat Nun-Doctors have a cure for everything - even being turned to stone. Rossandra leads the Doctor to a secret underground cavern, right after giving him a HUGE KISS, which ten puts down to his 'natural charm'. The cavern contains many cells with people in them - clones the hospital have been breeding and infecting with every disease to extrapolate cures from. (Not sure how that works in biology, and whether you can have every disease ever, but, you know, scientific licence.) Cassandra threatens to tell everyone about the scheme, but the nuns threaten to kill them. So she smashes a pipe, which somehow causes the release of many zombies (Yes, they're pretty much zombies. It spreads through touch. Even the airborne ones.) One of the Cat Doctor Nuns gets turned into a zombie, and they start to chase the Doctor, Rossandra and Chip (Tattoo guy). Chip hides, and the others run up a ladder. The Doctor forces Cassandra to leave Rose's body, and she goes into Ten. Rose forces her to leave the Doctor, so she goes back into Rose. This goes on until Cassandra goes into in of the zombies. 10 and Rose escape but Rose gets repossessed.

The Doctor cures the zombies by hooking up the IV Drips to the human lift washes, and washes all the disease out of their systems with Cassandra's help. (Again, I don't know biology but...) A new race is created, and the Cat Nun Doctors are arrested. The Doctor also finally gets to discuss the reason he went their in the first place: The Face of Boe! He 'was' dying of old age but now he feels better! He teleports off, and says he'll tell him next time. So yeah... Cassandra, meanwhile, possesses Chip, and starts dying, but now doesn't care, because she's lived her life. The Doctor takes her back in time to sort out a paradox and give her past self a chance at happiness. The End! Overall, this episode is a good start to the series. It is enjoyable and fun to watch, even without the Billie Piper fanservice. 8/10

Characters
Not much development here. Cassandra gets your standard 'villain learns from their mistake' plot leading up to her helping the Doctor. Nothing much for Rose or Ten. 4/10

Scare Factor
Zombie levels of psychological horror (not gore, although all diseases do give you creepy pox) 6/10

Favourite Quote: Goodness me, I'm a man! (Tenth Doctor, possessed by Cassandra)

Overall
This is a good series starter, with enjoyable moments and the setting up of plot points (Face of Boe...). It is really worth a watch. Next time, we get to see David Tennant use his Scottish accent! Oh, and a werewolf with Queen Victoria

Also, hearing your thoughts on these episodes are really good. Please don't stop posting just because the series is over!

Apparently the BBC are making some big Doctor Who announcement at midnight (I assume UK time, so in just under 3 hours ). Rumours are already circulating about it being Matt Smith stepping down, but it'll be interesting to see what it turns out to be.

I'm both sad and happy.

I love Smith's Doctor and I'd hate to see him go, but its also important to know when a portrayal begins to overstay their welcome and so this is a good thing in itself.

Matt leaving sucks, but three years is about average for a Doctor. Hopefully the new guy, who may or may not be Ben Daniels, will be as surprisingly fun of a change as SMith was from Tennant.

Also this. Very much this. Tennant got a little too close to that line and I'd rather be left wanting more.
