Something I much prefer in the dub over the original is Terriermon.
He's originally much more mellow, while in the dub, he's a smart ass. And that's funnier

The dub has been great so far, I dunno whether it's just because I'm used to the voices, or if dubbing was just better in the past.

Because I'm a real sub elitist, I usually cannot stand dubs, I find the performances bland, the delivery weak, the chemistry lacking - which basically makes no sense because the same actors go away and put on great performances in American animation.

About the last dub I really enjoyed was Bleach, but that is because Bosch was perfect for Ichigo, everyone else sucked.

But here, I love how unique everyone sounds, how distinct the personalities of the Tamers are and their bonds with their Digimon, this is just dubbing done so right. I actually found the sub much more bland, I didn't like the music or sound effects as much in the sub either.

Yeah I like the dub a lot better too, and not just because I grew up with it. I'd compare a certain scene that is practically infamous among the fan base but I won't get into do to spoilers... Unless of course you've seen episode 34 before.

I've seen the whole show when I was a kid but I don't really remember anything about it. Digimon was kinda forgotten about in my circles, while Pokémon stuck around, it probably helps that the Pokémon games actually get released here. So although the show is very familiar as I'm rewatching it, I remember very few details.

Will that be in the shape of Guilmon's head as well?

I had that same problem. All my friends kind of gave up on Digimon while keeping up with Pokemon.
It was unfortunate, because I didn't have very many to talk Digimon with when I was younger.

It's a shame too because while rewatching Tamers my inner child really remembers how much more I loved Digimon to Pokémon. I just loved the idea that you had a Digimon who was uniquely yours to raise and care for, no one else would have one quite like yours. Even as an adult the idea just gets me so excited.

My D-3 was given to a friend though for her birthday, and the D-Arc and Digivice Burst are the original Japanese versions
