Didn't Toei arrest that guy that did S.I.C customs? Yeah I have a feeling a third party company doing stuff for Power rangers won't survive at all. |

Well seeing as how the only reason 3rd party companies exist for Transformers is because Hasbro lets them.So really its up to Bandai for Power Rangers. Hasbro lets them do it cause they really dont take much income from them.I'm sure Bandai wouldn't mind, but a thrid party company would jsut have to risk the first step.I'd personally love to see some third party stuff,i.e. accessories, joints to make them more mobile,or even whole rangers/megazords.

We all know the knock off market has been strong for years. Just check out a swap meet and you will see knock offs of everything. A lot of that stuff even gets sold in dollar stores and such. The difference here is that these companies usually make high-end products beyond what is usually officially made. It's like buying fake Nike looking shoes but they are made with better parts and more comfortable. At that point the shoe company would just have their own brand. It's a bit sticky since the toy companies aren't out to make the same products but get sales based on character recognition. Maybe that makes it more actionable legally. It might depend on where the companies are located and how close the final look is.

I'd like to see it (although third party toys are almost always out of my price range) but like its been said Toei are really on the ball with these things. They would come down hard if anyone tried it.
