![]() ![]() Or if you don't already have it, The Geara Zulu (vanilla) is also a fun kit. ![]() I need to remove the gold paint from my HG Sinanju, I have some clear yellow which looks a lot brighter than the shade of gold I have on it right now. He also needs some panel lining to make all that red less, um, red. ![]() Last edited by blastmonkey; 06-17-2013 at 12:05 PM.. Reason: img code edit |

The picture here is of the weapon kit.I plan on giving the Custom I make the claw shield and the Beam SMG w/ grenade launcher.I'm also going to try and find a way for him to store the spear on his backpack. ![]()

Man, you guys seem like great modelers, I can't paint for crap. Since I can't do it, I have been forcing myself to stay away from GunPla since they just don't seem that good looking without paint. Dalong has shown me otherwise on some kits but good lord do I just need to learn how to paint...hahaha

It's not about painting,it's about the feeling you get when you can stand back and go "Wow,I built that." This'll be my first time doing a custom paint job,so it prob wont turn out that good.

I dont' paint too well either. I've been using some gundam markers, but like i said regarding Hi-Nu's gun, it's come out crap. Painting the eyes, or a few highlights hasn't been too bad, especially when theirs molding lines to follow.
Same with panel lining, just trace the lines with the panel line marker and wipe off the stuff that gets where I don't want it with my finger, it comes right off. The only problem is in tight corners or places I can't get my fingers, and I've been using a toothpick to clean up those places, and it's been working nicely. |

I've been using spray cans. But lately, I've been thinking about investing in an airbrush set up once the convention season is over.

Well that makes sense. I build zoid models because of the absolutely no need to paint hahaha, same cannot be said for their HMM line though, but I do panel line those models and they come out great. Oh, and for reference, the HMM zoid kits are somewhere between MG and PG gunpla models. So I know what you mean about the accomplishment you feel when sitting back and looking at it.
