Dana isn't a field or combat medic. She's a paramedic. Without a room filled with equipment, she's about as useful as anyone who's taken a CPR class and knows how to tie a splint.

TJ brought more than just "Being a leader."
He's creative, he's calm, he's level headed. When put in a dire situation with his "Mentor" gone, he didn't punch something in anger or hang his head and cry. He has spirit, he has will. He offers more than just "Leadership."

Likewise for Jen, she does what it takes to get the job done.

You can't just say "Carter is the better leader, so that makes the other two characters completely pointless." When the entire point is to bring something to the table that the other characters in their category can't.
