When "Power Rangers RPM" was airing, the original showrunner Eddie Guzelian was let go for budgetary concerns and (supposedly) because he wanted to take the series in a direction the producers did not agree with. I've been unable to find the source of the rumor but Guzelian's ending for the show went something like this: The final episode of RPM would be titled "Ranger Black" and reveal that Dylan had always been the new host body for the Venjix Virus. Everything about Dylan's human existence was just fabrication to ensure Venjix' ultimate survival. So the Rangers' last fight would be to kill their former teammate. If the rumor was indeed true and they had gone ahead with this ending, how would it have affected the series? Would people have enjoyed RPM more or less with that kind of ending?? |

If that ending included Gem and Gemma staying dead, I would've loved it!

Yeah, I've heard that story, too. I think it's an awesomely dark ending and I would have loved it, especially over the rehash of PRiS ending we got. At the same time, I totally see why Disney nixed it.

It would have been an amazing ending for sure. I'm not disappointed with the ending we got by any means (thought it was very well done), but I can see the set-up from the earlier episodes and think it would have been a much more emotional show. Can you imaginze Ziggy's characterization in the final few episodes having to deal with that revelation? |

I'm not surprised Disney didn't go through with it, but it certainly would have been interesting to see. Easily the most dramatic ending a Power Rangers series would have had.

Just a little. LOL. In al sencarity "Space" was one of the best Pr shows we ever got. That ending is still badass today. Time force, lightspeed rescue and SPD came very close though.
