You know the reason why Ash always loses the first time against a Gym leader? Why he always loses at the Pokemon League? It's to show that he still has training to do, room to grow, and opponents to overcome.
May, meanwhile, steamrolled through her contests so handily that the attempts to make her more grounded by having her be nervous didn't make sense.
When Dawn lost, it was believable because it was made clear that she wasn't going to wreck house and demolish her competition from then on. When May lost, it was because she had gotten cocky and over relied on her Skitty's Assist move, and then she never lost again.

I loathed May. And it wasn't for the vapid reason of replacing Misty (Who I also hated).
Remember. I hate for all the right reasons.

I did not like May in the slightest. She was a vapid, self-obsessed, rude bitch who didn't deserve the wins she got.
You know why her Torchic evolved? Because she didn't care about him anymore. She stopped using him altogether because he was an airhead, so she moved to Beautifly and Skitty for battles and contests. So Torchic's jealousy led him to become a Combusken just to earn May's attention again.
She was a terrible trainer and an even worse person, constantly taunting Max's worth because he's too young to be a trainer, refusing to listen to advice, and overall being presented as incredibly immature. When Ash was shown as being an immature brat, the show highlighted it and made sure he got his comeuppance. When May was shown being an immature brat, we were supposed to feel sorry for her and side with her opinion, and then she scores the win she didn't deserve, and then she gets praise from the opponent she beat for "Being such an amazing trainer."

Honedge has gotten the least amount of backlash from the vocal minority than other Gen 5 and 6 Pokemon, i guess it's just that awesome.

I saw that earlier. I know I know gen one just made them look like animals they suck as well blahblah but I'm really bored of new Pokémon that just look like stuff they find in their house with eyes stuck on it. What is next Sockpup, the sock puppet pokémon? It has about as much design detail as shit like this, and trubbish and that icecream and whatever else.

Yeah voltorb was just a pokéball with eyes on it too, heard it, but that doesn't mean you can just keep doing it and say 'yeah well gen 1 did it as well'.

So far from what i've seen Honedge is actually the only gen 6 Pokemon that's just an inanimate object.
