I give Ghost types a certain pass that other types don't usually get. If the Pokémon looks like an everyday object or other "this is lazy" designs, I write it off as "Ghosts possess and enchant stuff." Yes, it doesn't work with how Ghost Pokémon aren't like traditional ghosts, but still.

Plus, my Litwick named Incubator serves his purpose with the Ability Flame Body.

I actually love Banette. Possessed doll Pokemon? Love it. Granted, it's total crap in a battle, but the Pokemon itself is awesome.

As for Chandelure, it's okay. I don't hate it, but it could be better.

You know the reason why Ash always loses the first time against a Gym leader? Why he always loses at the Pokemon League? It's to show that he still has training to do, room to grow, and opponents to overcome.
May, meanwhile, steamrolled through her contests so handily that the attempts to make her more grounded by having her be nervous didn't make sense.
When Dawn lost, it was believable because it was made clear that she wasn't going to wreck house and demolish her competition from then on. When May lost, it was because she had gotten cocky and over relied on her Skitty's Assist move, and then she never lost again.

I loathed May. And it wasn't for the vapid reason of replacing Misty (Who I also hated).

I loathe Ivy. A fiery passion boils and burns whenever my hatred for her is realized. She should never have come into existence. Ivy is an annoying little excuse for a character, constantly denigrating Ash with the insult of, "You're such a kid," despite the fact that she is incredibly immature herself. Everything about her is annoying: her character, her personality, her voice, everything.

Kinda surprised by the general support I'm seeing for Honedge. Definitely expected a lot more hate (maybe it'll come in time? :P), since, ya know, it's just a sword and all.

Ah well. I think it's kinda cool. But definitely doesn't make too much sense as a Pokémon.

And if I do train one, I'll probably nickname it Soul Edge or Soul Eater..
