Okay, first things first: I don't like the new opening and ending themes as much as the old ones. The intro song is okay, but not nearly as fun as the original or as good as Savior in the Dark or even Waga na wa Garo. The ending theme is also just a boring ballad and has nothing on the original end song.

Other than that, though, it was a good episode. We got to see the Knights go on the offensive and we got some good character moments with Aguri. And still more stuff with Rui and her dead family - seriously, who thought that would still be a thing weeks later?

That was a good episode indeed, it seems the routine of the first half is over. Now the bad guys will have to let the big guns out

So somehow the energy from the Magic Horrors is what makes the Garo armor shine again. Wondering how they can "fix" that in the future...

I like the new direction this show is taking, by having all the Makai Knights going on the offense and kill those Magic Horrors. It's only a matter of time before the Horrors make a counterattack. That should be fun.

Still a question about if we are expecting it to be the same armor from the first series.
And there was this information from the old series about Garo being a title instead of the name of the set of armor.

I wonder if that means every knight has their own set of armor in other color depending on their rank, and when they reach the number of kills and rank their armor will turn gold. Also who ever got their hands on the Garo Sword they will become the next Garo title holder.

I enjoyed the episode. The new intro and outro are weak, but I think it has less to do with the new songs and more to do with the unchanged visuals that don't match the songs. At least in the case of the intro. Doubt I'd like the outro eitherway.

Episode wise, it's an Aguri episode and it's very all that interesting. I don't really care for Aguri. The scene with the souls and the barrier was really good though.

Its no "Saviour in the Dark" but I quite like the new opening. The only problem is it doesn't fit with the visuals AT ALL. The new ED is awful though.

Anyway, I was ready to write this off because it was an Aguri episode but there was some pretty great stuff in there - especially the souls sequence. Bits like that remind me why I love the team (except Aguri) in this - they're very emotive. Even if Junya Ikeda still has a penchant for being a bit OTT.

Also, Rian in a nurse outfit. The episode could have been trash and it would have been worth it for that.
