Okay, so I wasn't wrong to assume that those three are Showa Riders then….in my defence, I look at the Wiki to confirm.

It is but technically speaking, even though these guys are from the Heisei era, Toei tends to consider them Showa. Mainly due to the timing of Ishinimori's death in 1998. Anything before his death tends to be grouped into the Showa era and Kuuga marks the true beginning of Heisei. Just look at how Decade celebrated the 10th anniversary of Heisei riders Kuuga and up. These guys while produced in Heisei are in a murky territory where they can go either way.

No. It was Toei's robot anime lineup started in 1973 slowly killed Rider, forcing it off TV at the end. The number of kids magazine that covered Rider dropped drastically, and new prints that focus on robot anime flooded the market. Rider and Super Sentai wasn't the focus anymore.
