Maybe I should go watch Yugioh GX again the Japanese dub. Its the Yugioh series I am the most fond of and grew up with. And it was the sexond to last Yugioh series where it'd go the modern Rider route and try to put selling merchsndise at the forefront. "HEY GUYS LOOK AT MY 5TH FORM OF UTOPIA FIGHTING NUMBER 107!!!" That's cool for you Yuma. But I think I should probably get some more action series or more anime series in generslly under my belt first.

Coupling the fact that over the space of the last four months, I've finished like ten toku series, caught up on others, dropped countless others and I'm on a massive mech hype, I decided to take a break from toku so I still have stuff left to watch and concentrate on anime again, something I kinda fell out of love with as I grew older, I decided that I'm gonna be rewatching Tekkaman Blade now the Figmas are out and I'm gonna be having my first viewing of G-Gundam.
So Tekka 01. The animation hasn't aged all that well... which is a shame because for the most part the action was great and at least when they are standing still, the designs are really awesome. But it's like as soon as they actually had to move every detail from the art design was taken out. The plot hasn't faired much better with time either, so much of Tekka has been done to death since this show aired, so it's hard to appreciate the plot, even if it came so much earlier. Also D-Boy is the worst name for a protagonist ever.

I recently watched Mawaru Penguindrum.
All of the central characters were great, the plot was interesting, although a bit confusing at points. The individual episodes were usually pretty great, although I felt it did get a few slow episodes around the middle. I also thought it did a really good job bringing everything together for the ending, it's just an overall spectacular series. I sadly don't think I got extremely popular, I rarely even see people talking about it. I guess this might come from the fact it aired around the time as multiple extremely popular series, such as Steins;Gate and Madoka Magica, although as much as I enjoyed those two, I thought Penguindrum was a much better show than both of them. It is definitely one of my favorite anime series. |

It's showing it's age as well, but that henshin sequence is downright beautiful. Just finishes episode three while getting ready for work, the team just got dispersed. |

I love all the glorious male nudity and copious ass shots, it's rare for this to be men and not women. D-Boy is about right.

![]() Also, has anyone else seen and loved and worshipped Patlabor 1 and 2 as I have? 2 is a little weaker, but Patlabor 1 is a masterwork of Japanese Anime Cinema. |

Agreed, patlabor 1 stands shoulders above the series. Shining example of the real mecha genre.
