I don't remember if it was ever explicitly stated, but I assumed it was that the Time Fliers weren't safe for people to travel through time in. Like they were missing the appropriate radiation shielding or something.

Finish it yesterday nope they could of send people in the flyers to the past due to they did it with the ranger in the last episode
