I loved it. In 8 pages it managed to get me semi-invested in the character and it makes me hope for some kind of sequel or prequel (Either with her and Celestia having the talks on humility and etc, or pre-Equestria Girls with her breaking up the mane 6 (5?) as friends). I'd love a Micro-Series Sunset Shimmer.

No, it's just a mini-story. Issue 9 is about Big Macintosh trying to find some nails (It's a lot better than it sounds).

Same here. From what I understand...in the movie, she was very much a generic mean girl, and this made her a bit more than that.
