I kind of stopped. While it's nice that they finally stopped the Team Rocket blasting off gag after 15 years, the rest of the show seemed to have regressed. Pokemon was never a complicated show, but it's just insufferable how much it talks down to everyone.

And I hate Oshawott's English VA.

They did have a sort of cool plot going on but after the Meloetta arc it pretty much went back to standard Pokemon fare.

They did? Wow that's something.

I watched it seriously till Hoenn, then sort of watched Sinnoh, and didn't watch much if anything of Unova.
Since they reset all of Ash's character development and his team each season, it's basically watching the same show over and over.

Honestly, I actually enjoy seeing Ash's team be reset each region, especially when he doesn't get all 3 starters.
His character growth being hit by the reset button is grating, though.

Yeah the first part isn't that bad, and from what I understand he keeps rotating his team in Unova, which sounds like a nice change.
It's just that after so many adventures Ash should be, you know smart, and Pikachu overpowered.

I like how in Unova when he caught a seventh Pokemon it didn't teleport like in the old anime. I was seriously convinced this show was a reboot until Dawn showed up.

And the rivalry between Piplup and Oshawott was entertaining.

I really don't like saying it, but the Kanto-Johto seasons were best. Yeah, I know, Genwuning, but still.

Also, does anyone else think Ash's early voice sounded like Veronica Taylor stuffed cotton balls in her mouth and kept her lips in a vague "O" shape during early recording sessions?

I like the voice in those really early episodes, not sure why that is.
