Gen 4 had new evolutions that weren't part of the regional Pokedex and couldn't be unlocked straight away though.

I think there will be a regional dex, just because they tend to like putting the starters at the front. I expect the mindset is it'll be weird for newcomers to pick Chespin and find out he's number 650.

Fennekin evo's name is Braixen
Froakie evo is Frogadier
Chespin evo is Quilladin
Poodle pokemon is Furfrou
T-Rex fossil is Tyrunt
Brachio fossil is Amaura
Gender-specific cat Pokemon are named Meowstic

Electric Pokemon are now immune to paralysis
Grass Pokemon are now immune to powder and spore attacks
Ghost Pokemon are now immune to moves that cause fleeing
Disconnecting in a battle now counts as an automatic loss (I wonder how this effects battles where the connection is just lost)

Now if only they had added Rock types clearing Stealth Rock...

(Also starter evos in action looked kinda cool. Fennekin for Fire/Psychic pretty much guaranteed now.)

No, you could still paralyze them via Stun Spore and the like.

Love Quilladin, awesome name and looks much better in action. The fact that his name derives from paladin has me even more excited for his final stage.
