Nice. I was hoping for a re-do of the Black packaging. Now let's hope RX gets the same treatment.

I find that problem with a lot of figuarts, sadly. I know toku heroes aren't muscle bound in quite the same way American ones are, but unless they have stuff built onto them like armour plates or coats or whatever, the figuarts take streamlined to its most extreme and leave them looking like a sort of lanky female.

Figuarts are, until more recently, kind of more anime-esque in proportions.

Why do the boxes sometimes say Masked Rider and then Kamen Rider on others?
Anyway, I like the Figuarts just the way they are. I don't need them to be muscle bound toys. |

Anything before W is called Masked Rider as that used to be the official translation, after W they adopted Kamen Rider as the official translation.

I'm not saying muscle bound, that'd be one extreme to another, but older figuarts are extremely slender at times compared to their on screen counterparts, and the proportions are usually pretty off. I just think they could do with shortening the limbs down, and bulking out the figures more. My MMPR Figuarts certainly look a lot better, than say my SPD blue who looks anorexic.

And I agree, nobody's asking for "muscle-bound." But then that's about the general rule, ain't it? One gratuitous extreme or the other. Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 09-23-2013 at 06:56 PM.. |
